Delete Your Account

⚠️ Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your wishlists, items, and data will be permanently removed.
You can permanently delete your GiftListy account and associated data at any time. Once deleted, you will no longer be able to access your lists or account.
🚀 Delete In-App (Fastest)
- Open the GiftListy app on your device
- Navigate to Settings → Profile → Delete Account
- Confirm deletion when prompted
- You'll be signed out immediately and your account will be removed
📧 Web / Email Fallback
If you can't access the app, you can request deletion via email:
- Send an email to support@giftlisty.com
- Use the same email address associated with your account
- Subject line: "Delete my GiftListy account"
- (Optional) Include any feedback or reasons for leaving
🗑️ What We Delete
- Your account credentials and authentication data (email, user ID)
- All your wishlists, items, and occasions
- Reservations and shared list access
- Profile information and preferences
- Associated log data tied to your account
📁 What We May Retain
- Purchase records: Minimal transaction data for billing and tax compliance (retained up to 3 years as required by law)
- Aggregated analytics: Non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you
- Legal obligations: Data required by law enforcement or legal processes
⏱️ Timeline
In-app deletions: Processed immediately upon confirmation
Email requests: Verified and completed within 7 business days
You'll receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
💡 Using Sign in with Apple?
If you used "Hide My Email" with Apple Sign In, please include your Apple relay address
(ending with @privaterelay.appleid.com) in your email request so we can locate your account.
